Our Mission

The East Cambridge Scholarship Fund (ECSF) is a neighborhood non-profit organization established in 1989 to financially assist East Cambridge residents who are presently attending or planning to attend a two- or four-year college, graduate school, or a technical or vocational program. We view education as a catalyst for change for individuals, families, and our community. It is our belief that education should be accessible to all regardless of economic circumstance.

Through the generosity of foundations, corporations, past recipients and friends, the ECSF is able to award scholarships to many deserving residents each year who otherwise may not have the financial means to fulfill their educational goals. Scholarships are awarded based on achievement and demonstrated need and are intended to reduce the loan burden that students often bear.
